These blood clots occlude the blood vessels as thrombi and if they get dislodged and occlude the blood vessels at some other site, they are called emboli. Im on the birth control patch, Ortho Evra.

I took ortho evra for about 4 years and had irregular periods for about a year after i stopped. We have now been ttc for 2 years and are finally seeing a RE next week.

My dr gave me progestin pills to help regulate my periods and when that didnt work i took clomid. I blame my infertility on the patch even though my dr swears it is not to blame. Good luck! I was only on it for four months because I just couldn't take it, I was severely moody, depressed, low sex drive, and when I went off it, I swear if someone even looked at me funny I was in tears.

I believe because it is only a weekly thing there were more hormones than say the Ortho-TriCyclen Lo would have. IMO, I've always felt the lowest dose is probably the best. I am 19 years old and I am using Ortho Evra patch for contraception and I have been for five months. So, I started taking Ortho Evra back in to regulate my cycles, I took it for a couple of years and it worked just fine. I wasn't sexually active so I wasn't needing it to prevent pregnancy.
