I have changed all sleep settings. I need Windows 10 to not lock at all after login. I do not have group policies on this pcs yet. This one I made a local as a fix to stop it from logging in. That did not work. The regedit that is supposed to stop it did not work either. I have checked through screen saver settings and power management settings. I do not see that there is any settings that helps. I have worked on and off on this for several days.
The local pc GPO I setup has been setup for days and several reboots as has the regedit. I ran two updates on it today to get it completely up to date. I tried the link John sent and it did not work. I will double check it later, but have people in that conference room right now. Other suggestions? Not what would suggest personally, but you could remove the password entirely then require a password at boot using full disk encryption.
Frankly setting up computers so the screen never locks is a very bad policy and is an invitation for an attack. Why not force everyone to use the same password? Just as good an idea. Go to settings, go to accounts and other users and set require password when waking from sleep to never then you should be all set.
The OP made it clear that this isn't his preference, but he's been told to get it done this way. Nobody on here thinks this is a good idea, but simply criticising the request doesn't offer a solution. If I'm interpreting this correctly, you're having trouble with a PC in the confrere room that's supposed to be used for presentations?
If so, I imagine people are getting frustrated with the PC going to sleep in the middle of a presentation or Skype call or something.
What about setting the inactivity time out to something reasonably long? If meetings usually last between one and two hours, set the timeout to three hours.
